A 12km (7 mile) permissive section of the Tarka Trail is open to horse riders between Petrockstowe and Servis, near Torrington. The Tarka Trail follows the travels of Tarka the Otter in the famous book written by Henry Williamson. Please note: this is a multi user route and riders are requested to give way to other users along this trail and cantering/galloping are not permitted.
